Two Paths for America … And Only One Moves Us Forward

These past two weeks have reminded us what’s at stake for our country and what happens when Congress chooses politics over people. In contrast, President Trump has once again demonstrated the steady, decisive leadership America deserves. Historic accomplishments have been made under his leadership, yet Nevada’s representation continues to be part of the problem.

On one hand, Rep. Susie Lee, has chosen obstruction over obligation. She’s walked away from her duty to keep the government funded, abandoning our troops, Border Patrol agents, and federal workers while they still show up to serve.

That isn’t leadership. It’s political theater.

While Nevadans struggle, the Congresswoman spent her week taking videos of herself, wandering the halls of Congress staging photo ops for social media. Empty gestures. No substance. No solutions. It’s the same kind of Washington showmanship that our Founding Fathers warned against, when power becomes more about performance than service.

Meanwhile, President Trump showed what true leadership looks like by helping broker a historic peace deal between Israel and Hamas. A deal that could save lives, bring stability to a region torn by conflict, and remind the world that America can still be a force for peace when we lead with strength.

And this week, the world witnessed something even more powerful: the moment surviving hostages were finally freed from captivity. Watching them step into the light, feeling freedom once again after enduring unthinkable suffering at the hands of Hamas, was a moment of hope and humanity that none of us will forget. It was made possible through strength, resolve, and the kind of leadership President Trump has always shown on the world stage.

Our prayers remain with the victims, their families, and all those forever changed by the tragedy of October 7, a day that will always stand as a reminder of both the evil we must confront and the courage we must uphold.

The Choice Before Us

The old way: political stunts, shutdowns, and self-promotion.
The better way: courage, clarity, and results that matter to real people.

I believe in a government that serves, not performs. Our Founders built this nation on accountability, integrity, and action, not social media likes and empty headlines. They understood that public office is not a stage. It is a sacred trust.

Theodore Roosevelt believed that the highest reward of public service is not what you get from it, but what you give to it. He entered politics to fight corruption and defend ordinary Americans, not to build a brand. He believed a leader’s job was to act — boldly, honestly, and always for the people, never for applause.

When I go to Congress, I’ll carry that same spirit of service. I’ll work to restore faith in our institutions by doing what seems to have gone out of style in Washington: getting the job done. That means securing the border, defending our country and allies, standing up for American businesses and workers, and putting America First every single time.

Nevada deserves leadership that doesn’t just talk about solutions but delivers them. The stakes are too high to settle for anything less.

If you’re ready to move past the noise and return to common-sense, principled leadership, I’m asking you to join me.

Together, we can build a future that honors our founding principles, respects the people who make this country great, and restores real leadership to Washington.

It’s time to stop the stunts and start leading again.

With Gratitude,

Tera Anderson
